Our history
With the encouragement and support of the South Central Conference of the United Church of Christ and the United Church Board for Homeland Ministries, a new faith community was founded in November 1994. This dedicated group named the church "Cosmopolitan United Church of Christ," with a commitment to unite people in personal faith and social responsibility. CUCC was officially recognized and welcomed into the South Central Conference during the installation of their first permanent pastor, the late Reverend Dr. Lourdino Yuzon, on August 20, 1995, and was chartered by the Secretary of State of Texas. Since then, the church has grown in both space and membership to accommodate more programs for God's work.
Today, CUCC continues to thrive as a vibrant community, embracing diversity and fostering spiritual growth through various ministries and outreach programs.
